Rio de Janeiro, founded in 1565,  is the second largest city of Brazil and occupies one of the most spectacular settings of any metropolis in the world. Part of the city has been designated as a World Heritage Site, named “Rio de Janeiro: Carioca Landscapes between the Mountain and the Sea”. It abounds in all kinds of exciting experiences for the visitor with countless dance halls and open-air cafes as well as stunning beaches and surfing options.
